Cottage lighting is tricky. You need to respect the dark as much as you are bringing light. As a general rule, “Less is More”. The mood at a cottage exterior is for experiencing the stars, the moon, a distant loon’s calling. More lighting gets busy and impacts a relaxing mood.
Notice the utility shed lit with “coin” sized LED on a narrow beam pattern. This accents the shed into a shoreline feature. Also notice how that accent lighting offers additional ground lighting at the shed. We continued path lights to ensure a safe walk to and from this area. The shed is converted from a “put all beach toys in” shed, into an interesting Feature!
